- If you have an account on a Unix machine, you can use "split" to split the
- file,
- and on the amiga, use the "join" command. I think these are meant for text
- files,
- but they work just fine for lha's, gzips, etc.
- You have to specify how many lines each part will be with split. For HD disks,
- I set the number to 5000, which generates chunks of around 1.4 Mb. I guess you
- could try 2500 for DD disks, but you may have to experiment a bit.

- There are also commercial utils to do the same. With ADPro you got Splitz and
- Joinz, in Amiga, DOS, & Mac format for transferring large files via disk.
